Community Mobilizes for Hurricane Relief: Over $3,000 Raised in Less Than a Week
On the night of September 30, we put out a heartfelt call to action. The devastation caused by Hurricane Helene had left many families in our community struggling, and we knew we had to act quickly. We asked for your help, and the response has been nothing short of incredible.
In just a few days, you—the compassionate and resilient members of our community—have contributed over $3,000 to support recovery efforts. Donations have come in not just from North Carolina, but also from Idaho, Alaska, Florida, Georgia, California, Washington, Oregon, and beyond. This outpouring of generosity is a testament to the spirit of Asheville and the wider community: when one of us is in need, we all come together to lift each other up.
Every donation, whether large or small, is already making a significant difference. These funds will go directly to providing immediate relief to those affected by the storm, including emergency supplies, temporary shelter, and the first steps toward rebuilding homes.
But we’re just getting started. The work ahead is vast, and the need for support continues to grow. We’re humbled by the trust you’ve placed in us, and we are committed to ensuring that every dollar you donate goes directly to helping those impacted by Hurricane Helene.
As we continue our fundraising efforts, we encourage everyone to keep spreading the word. The more awareness we raise, the more families we can help rebuild their lives and find hope in these challenging times.
Thank you, Asheville, for showing once again that when we come together, we can make an enormous difference. Let’s keep pushing forward—together, we can turn this around.
